DO YOU SEE THE BANNER?

God chose his people, a nation that will walk with him after he gave his promise, this promise would include that those people should follow God in full obedience and in return God would grant them his blessings that are mentioned in the law given to Moses, but the people chose to walk away from God’s laws and the result was that they were expelled from God’s face to the land of captivity.

But our God loves mankind so much that he does not enjoy punishing his people, therefore, he promised them that he will raise the banner of the salvation for all nations, this banner carries the blessings God promised Abraham and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” Genesis 22:18. This offspring will bring all nations together; there will be no impure or immaculate, as people will be purified by the promise of the eternal blood that is shed for our sins. This offspring was described by David as …“May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.” Psalms 72:17

This blessing, God chose to give it on a banner because it conveys salvation, this is symbolized by Moses when God ordered him to hang the snake on a banner  The Lord said to Moses, Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” Numbers 21:8

This salvation comes with God’s commands of repent ion and his promise of forgiveness and acceptance "He lifts up a banner for the distant nations, he whistles for those at the ends of the earth. Here they come,   swiftly and speedily!" Isaiah 5:26

But this remission must be achieved through someone that God prepared for this sacrifice, who must come from Jesse as one of David’s offspring. “In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.” Isaiah 10:11

A banner is used to direct people to a certain direction, the banner that God had placed directs people to the eternal life, so Jesse’s offspring will be the path to salvation which is what God wants for us See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a ruler and commander of the peoples.” Isaiah 55:4

And Lord Jesus himself said I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Jesse’s root came among us and we have seen his glory, then he was put on a banner to direct us to the real path of everlasting life, are we ready to leave our current path in life and follow this banner? Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other." Isaiah 45:22

So the whole situation requires us to make a confidant decision to choose the shining banner that points to the road to eternal life and salvation.
